Fast Fonts… Trying to fathom how a particular piece of User Interface design will actually look on an iPod Touch or iPhone can be difficult – what’s really needed is to be able to see the design on the device itself. Since repeated round-trips through Xcode to the device and back can be time-consuming, this application aims to provide a better (and somewhat more portable) answer

Fast Fonts simply lists all installed Fonts Families, with variants (bold, etc.) chosen by tapping ‘Font Name’. When a selection is made, the lower half of the page will update to match. This text can be edited by tapping on it; for ease of use short lengths are automatically centred whilst longer ones are left-justified.

Weather Vane is a Mac OS X utility that retrieves your local weather forecast and displays it in the menubar (both U.S. and international locations). Place it in your Login Items, and it will launch when you log in. The current temperature and conditions are displayed in the menu bar. Its menu displays the forecast and the tooltip displays the more detail on current conditions is your area. Weather Vane will fetch your forecast in intervals that you decide (15min.- 6hrs). Runs on both 32 bit and 64 bit systems. Localized for several languages.

DESCRIPTION

Currency Converter is the iPhone version of one of the most 10 most downloaded widget on MacOs X; it has the most comprehensive set of features, among them:

• support for more than 200 currencies: all the trading currencies of the world plus many legacy currencies and even unofficial or virtual currencies (like the Linden dollar for Second life)
• support for a conversion table like interface (like the successful one I introduced in my Currency Converter widget for the Mac), with support for conversion as you type, simple math expressions evaluation support, optional conversion fees evaluation support: just click on a value in the table and enter your data and see how it works
• graphic interface with a comprehensive set of information readily available, like the currency code and country, the country flag, the currency symbol
• inverse conversion support: just click the button at the left of the title bar to switch from normal conversion mode to inverse conversion mode

• currency data automatically updated from the web (but you can manually update them clicking on the button at the left of the bottom status bar; anyway be aware that manually updates will happen only once in an hour)

DESCRIPTION

Smultron is a free text editor for Mac OS X Leopard 10.5 which is both easy to use and powerful. It is designed to neither confuse newcomers nor disappoint advanced users. It should work perfectly for a whole variety of needs – like web programming, script editing, making a to do list and so on.
Smultron has all open documents in a list with beautiful Quick Look icons to your left just like e.g. iTunes so you can easily switch between many documents – you can also choose to display them as tabs if you prefer it that way.
It is easy to program with Smultron as it colours the content in different colours depending on what the code does. And you also have many ways to search for words and line numbers to help finding the code you are looking for. You can also split the window in two to display two parts of the same document or to compare two different documents side by side.
You can also preview HTML-files directly in Smultron and save snippets of text and insert them simply with a shortcut. And if you don抰 want to be disturbed by other applications or the desktop you can let Smultron cover the whole screen to let you concentrate on your work.
For the more advanced users Smultron can find all those system files that are normally hidden and it has authenticated open and saves for them. Smultron can also use regular expressions and it can run commands and scripts.
For all international users there is full support for all encodings and it is translated into many languages so you can use it in your own native tongue.
